We will be taking the busses up to the fast food area of Effingham. If you are not going with us you must be signed out by then.

Drum Majors should be back in uniform by 8:40PM. Please be at the SE gate by 9:00 PM.

O’Fallon Itinerary

11:45        Arrive @ NCHS (eat lunch before arrival)
  • Check your uniform for all the appropriate pieces (including hat, gloves, gauntlets, shoes
  • and black socks)
  • Check your instrument or percussion equipment (including sticks and mallets)
  • Recheck to see that you have everything. Do not wait until the last minute. Load your uniform and instrument/equipment
12:15-12:30    Leave NCHS-

2:45        Arrive @ O’Fallon
              Unload
              Get dressed- be dressed by 3:20
3:45        Tuning
4:15        On the practice field
4:50        At performance field
5:00        Performance
5:20        Back to the busses to change clothes, reload trailer, and go eat!!

7:30        Arrive back to watch O’Fallon Band and await the awards ceremony.
8:45        Awards
9:30         Leave for home
11:30      Arrive @ NCHS

REMEMBER:
  1. Make sure you bring money for supper, they will have concessions at the stadium, and a McDonalds a few blocks away.  If you leave the school grounds, you must travel in groups.
  2. If you plan on riding home with a parent you need to bring a note with you on the bus to give to your chaperone.  All parents must sign their children out with the bus chaperone at the end of the event. 

2010 Newton Classic

Each band student is required to bring one 24 pack (cans) Pepsi product for the Classic.  Soda should be taken to the band room no later than Tuesday, September 14.  Please mark your case with you name.

Freshman - Mt. Dew

Senior Girls - Diet Pepsi
Senior Boys - 7 Up

Eagle Discount Cards

We still have plenty of Eagle Discount cards to be sold!  Please continue selling these cards.  Remember, $4 from each card goes directly to your band trip account.  Contact Kris Newton to get more cards at dkln@shawneelink.net.

Band Boosters Meeting

The band boosters will hold their next meeting on Thursday, September 9 at 7 pm in the high school art room.  All parents are encouraged to attend to discuss the 2011 band trip to Disney, current and future fundraising opportunities, the 2010 Band Classic and the 2010 marching season.
